Public safety and personal freedom can go hand in hand. I support providing our law enforcement officers with the training, staffing, and safety tools they need to protect our community and respond effectively in times of need. At the same time, I believe those tools should be used responsibly, with clear oversight that protects the privacy and constitutional rights of our residents. We can build a safer community without expanding unnecessary government surveillance, ensuring security and individual liberty remain equally protected.
